The FTBT project was started by a group of Flathead Valley residents who have used these timber lands for years to hike, bike, horseback ride, dog walk, cross-country ski and more. The number of trail users has grown dramatically in the last few years. Most of the trail system originates on, and passes through, private land. We need your support now to keep the trails open!

We are working to preserve the historical trail use in the area. Our number one priority at present is to purchase and permanently protect access to the 320 acre parcel of land that borders Herron Park.

If you want to keep these trails open for public use, we need your help now. Please volunteer your time, donate money, or both!

"Buy an Acre" Campaign

Seemingly overwhelming goals - like buying 320 acres of beautiful land - are achieved one step at a time. It costs $7000 to purchase and permanently protect access to one acre of The Conservation Fund land. If you, your business, or organization donate $7000 to Foys to Blacktail, we'll use it to buy an acre of land next to Herron Park. When we raise enough to buy a 40 acre parcel, it will be added to Herron Park. We want to keep on going until access to all of this popular playground is secured--but we need your donation before September 2009.

Those who make a donation at the $7000 level or above will recieve special recognition on a permanent sign or plaque. It's a great opportunity to show your community how much you care, or to honor or memorialized a loved one.

Of course, the Foys to Blacktail Trails project benefits from all levels of donation. You can contribute online by clicking the button below, or send a check.

FTBT is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and all contributions are tax deductible. Please consult your tax advisor for more information.

Payments are made using the PayPal payment system. PayPal is fast, free, and secure. It is widely used by many organizations for processing online donations.
